1/35 MG AV-98 Ingram 1st

Saw this kit at hobbylink. the 1/35 AV-98 Ingram first. This police mech seems to be from the series Patlabor. Not sure of the story but will be watching the series someday.

Detailed cockpit with lifting chest armor to see the detail. Both standing and seated pilot figures. Weapons set of baton, long baton and revolver (the revolver actually is stored in the right leg, just like the "real" one). Three sets of interchangeable hands for different poses and weapons. And of course, like all Master Grade kits, it snaps together and is pre-colored, although painting will definitely improve the finished results. The center section of the instruction book is a complete painting guide with color mixtures. Front section is a history of the labors (all text in Japanese) with line drawings. And the final bonus is that it is in 1/35 military scale so that building dioramas and adding details is much easier. A real treat for fans of Patlabor fans.

Valkyrie VF-1S

Found out that the toy that my uncle gave me as a birthday present is not just an odinary toy. It is the ...1/55 Origin of Valkyrie VF-1S Roy Focker! This is valkyrie , a transformable robot -plane is from the series , Macross, the father of robotech.A quarter-century after its first release by Takatoku Toys in 1983, the legendary VF-1S toy now gets reissued in Bandai's new Origin of Valkyrie series! Just like the original toy, the variable Valkyrie sports Roy Focker's signature color scheme, and the mecha can be transformed between its Fighter, Gerwalk, and Battroid modes. Presented in a newly designed package, the Valkyrie's sharp mold and sturdy construction of die-cast and ABS plastic remain the same as the classic toy, and its gunpod is included. Released in commemoration of the 25th anniversary of the landmark 1982-83 "Macross" TV anime series, this reissue is not only a welcomed release for longtime fans of the show, it also serves as a great introduction for newcomers to Takatoku Toys' historic Valkyrie that set the standards for transforming toys in the 1980s. Anyway it looks kinda retro, but still a good toy to collect. enjoy!!

Speed Grades

Came across the speed grade gundams from the internet. So far only saw the speed gundam on sale.

Bandai put the First "Speed Grade" Gundam Model kits into production in 2007. They are packaged in a bag, and come with minimal, pre-colored and painted pieces and a display stand. The kits are in the 1/200 scale. Lacking high mobility and detail, they are ideal for children. Unlike Bandai's other Model kits, the Speed Grade series of kits are made in China, not Japan. The plastic is cheaper, and of a less quality. But it is not cheaper here in singapore. Cost $17 here. The 1/144 wing gundam zero cost judt $12!!! Although this is the only speed grade here in singapore. More kits such as the z gundam , god gundam and the rx-78 gundam coming soon!
